SightCare announces Leadership transition as Martin White steps down as Chair
Martin White has stepped down as Chair and Vice Chair, Garrey Haase succeeds him with immediate effect.
Martin has served as Chair with dedication, providing reliable stewardship of the organisation through both industry developments and the unprecedented challenges of the COVID-19 pandemic. Under his leadership, SightCare has strengthened its support for independent opticians, helping them navigate an ever-evolving landscape.
Garrey Haase, who has served as Vice Chair since February 2023, brings a wealth of experience and a deep commitment to the independent optical sector. Speaking on his appointment, Garrey said:

After qualifying as a Dispensing Optician in 1996, he furthered his expertise by earning his Optometry qualification from Bradford University in 2001.
