Practice Team of the Year winners

I was a bit shocked but absolutely thrilled when our name was announced and felt immensely proud of the entire team ! They all work so hard and it was great that their efforts were recognised in this way!

What do you believe was the key factor that set your practice apart and led to this win? 

I believe that our approach to sharing the responsibilities throughout the team rather than having a practice manager has helped to create a really cohesive, inclusive and happy working environment. We regularly take time to have one to one reviews with each team member and encourage them to expand their roles.

Has this recognition inspired you to set new goals or be more ambitious in your practice? If so, how?

It’s great to have the whole team recognised and it has certainly encouraged us to keep the momentum going. We are really lucky that the whole team believes in the practice and wants us to keep on pushing forward.

What exciting developments or future plans can we expect from your practice following this achievement? 

As a team we have developed an action plan for 2025 to continue to move forward collectively.

This year’s plan involves charity fundraising and community events that we will do together. We are planning a 17 mile walk around Rutland water for the Childhood Cancer Parents Alliance and a local river clean-up, which ties in with our sustainability strategy too.

How have you celebrated and shared this success with your patients, community, and staff? What has the response been like? 

We have shared on our socials and of course the trophy has pride of place in the practice! The patients have been so pleased & echoed the sentiments about the team. Next weekend we have a team away day at Hoya’s factory in Wrexham, so we will we stop over the night before to celebrate as a team.
