Atlantic Optical partners with Ocean Conservation Trust to support the Blue Meadows project

SPECS supplier Atlantic Optical has partnered with the Ocean Conservation Trust. Here, they explain more.

“Why the Blue Meadows project? Seagrass meadows absorb 35 times more carbon than rainforests. Seagrass also supports a huge variety of flora and fauna while protecting our coastline from erosion.

“We are proud to announce this incredible charity partnership. It is a fantastic opportunity to support a charity with amazing ecological benefits”, said Jayne Smerald, Director.

Ocean Conservation Trust is a charity based in Plymouth at the National Maritime Aquarium. They have an extensive history of education and research on ecological protection.

Atlantic’s new “Big &Tall Eco” spectacle frame collection confirms their commitment to protecting our environment through the use of bio-acetate materials. Fashion-forward styles and vibrant colours are featured.

Atlantic will share the progress of the Blue Meadows Project through their social media and website. Their commitment is to become greener and to support sustainability.
